Another key concern we should all be made aware of Regarding the food industry in the US is that food studies usually minimize the health concerns associated with their own product. Large Food Industries Funding the Nutrition Associations in Mint Hill NC

Large food industry leaders give money to professional nutrition associations. For example, the American Dietetic Association (ADA) accepts money from large food companies. On one hand, we can certainly understand this. Why wouldn't they? These organizations require funding to perform scientifically accurate studies. In return, the food production company gets access to decision-makers in the food and nutrition marketplace via ADA events and programs. Then these large companies can pass along their nutrition information, which will then be passed on to US consumers.

You can look at the ADA website and find many nutrition fact sheets. At the bottom of each fact sheet is a disclaimer by the ADA. To paraphrase they're just convert in my own words, it is essentially saying that the ADA is not endorsing the sponsor’s product and...DON’T BLAME US if you decide to consume it!
